05th Mar – 06th Mar’14 –Training Programme on Heritage Conservation
A two day’s training programme was conducted at NITHM on Heritage Conservation for Heritage Committee Members. This was organized by NITHM and sponsored by the department of Archaeology and Museums AP. The President of the Programme was Dr.Ramakrishna Deputy Director, Dept of Archeology & Meseum. The Cheif Guest was Prof. P.Narayana Reddy - Director of NITHM; Honored guests were Mr.Mahonar A.S. Dept of Tourism and other guests were Mr.Kesan and Mr.Bramha Chari.
After the inaugural program on the 05th Mar, classes were conducted by archaeology stalwarts such as Mrs.Anuradha Reddy - spoke on the Importance of Heritage Conversation in Society; Mr. Kesav, Dy.Director, museums spoke on the Role of Heritage committe members in conservation. Mr. Laxmana Murthy spoke on the Conservation Laws. On the 06th Mar - Morning session was taken by Dr.E.Sivanagi Reddy, Director - State Art Gallery on the topic Heritage conservation & Management Challenges. After which there was an open discussion followed by the Valedictory function. A group picture was taken with all the participants along with the coordinators and the Director of NITHM.
