A three day training programme on Archaeological conservation methods

A three day training programme on Archaeological conservation methods was organized by Dr.YSR National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management - Gachibowli Hyderabad from 02nd - 04th Jul 2014, at the NITHM campus. This programme was organized with association with Dept. of Archaeology and Museums for Archaeological technical Assistants and assistants from the Heritage conservation dept. The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Chandana Khan IAS, Spl.Chief Secretary (Tourism), YAT&C (PMU) Govt. of A.P & Hon'ble Chairperson NITHM, Director NITHM and Director Shilparamam.

The main objective of the training was to highlight the importance of culture & heritage conservation for our future generations to come.The main role of the technical assistants to play an active role in the protection and conservation of our historical culture & heritage.There is a need for conservation therefore the training was very essential for heritage conservation.

Total 40 participants were trained, in heritage conservation the different aspects and methods used for their jobs. The lectures were delivered by different resources persons from ASI, State Archaeological depts.

The Valedictory was conducted on 04th Jul at 05:00 pm by Smt. Chandana Khan IAS, Spl.Chief Secretary (Tourism), YAT&C (PMU) Govt. of A.P & Hon'ble Chairperson NITHM, Director NITHM and Director Shilparamam.
