TSangareddy, 12 August 2026: The State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), Sangareddy, under the aegis of the National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (NITHM), successfully completed a 15-day Bakery & Confectionery Training Programme for 16 SC candidates from Sangareddy District.
Conducted under the guidance of Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Director, NITHM, the programme was coordinated by Dr. N. Yadagiri, Liaison Officer, SIHM and Course Coordinator, NITHM. Practical training was imparted by Chef Tuljaram, supported by Chef Mahesh.
Sponsored by the Telangana Scheduled Castes Co-operative Development Corporation Ltd., Sangareddy, the programme aimed to enhance the employability, livelihood, and self-employment prospects of SC youth through hands-on, industry-oriented training.
Key Benefits Provided
Conducted from 25 July to 12 August 2026, the programme provided practical training in bread and garlic bread, cookies, puff pastries, Danish pastries, croissants, choux pastry, éclairs, muffins, cakes, Swiss rolls, Chelsea buns, caramel custard, and fruit trifle.
The training equipped participants with practical production skills and industry exposure, strengthening their prospects for employment, entrepreneurship, and self-employment in the bakery, confectionery, hospitality, and food-service sectors.
The successful completion of the programme marks another step in NITHM and SIHM, Sangareddy’s commitment to skill development, livelihood promotion, and inclusive employment opportunities for youth.
