National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management has set up a Training and Consultancy Wing headed by an Officer, Training and Consultancy to explore the possibility of sharing knowledge with Industry. The detailed project on consultancy reports is prepared in a professional manner taking into account the present conditions and customized requirements.

Apart from this the Institute organises training programmes in specific areas as per requirements of customers. The core areas of consultancy and training are :

TRAINING :

• On tourist guidance
• About capacity build up programmes
• On how to form Self Help Groups to set up Hotel Units in line with current initiative
• Regarding front office and Restaurant Management
• Detailing House Keeping techniques
• In Food Production Management
• Introducing Information technology and systems in Tourism/Hospitality
• Short term training programs in Bakery production, Chocolate making, Bartending etc.

CONSULTANCY :

• On Setting up of Roadside Eateries
• Cost structuring of Menu tables consisting of different items and varieties
• Regarding tourism project schemes and their evaluation
• Kitchen Room Upgradation and modernisation with advanced technology
• On selection methods for Chefs at Star Hotels
• Setting up preliminaries and issues and the viability studies and economics of owning and operating a Hotel Enterprise

NITHM offers theme specific and tailor made programmes for individuals and organisations as also under various Government schemes. Government of Telangana State has designated NITHM to act as the Nodal Organisation for training assignments and consultancy services on Sector Specific in Tourism, Hospitality, Heritage and other allied sectors of development
