National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM) is an autonomous educational institution established in 2004 by the Ministry of Tourism - Govt. of India and Govt. of Andhra Pradesh (now Government of Telangana), began academic operations in October 2004 and was formally inaugurated by the INC President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi on 16th March 2005. It is jointly established by Govt. of India & State Govt., with its campus located on a 30 acre verdant expanse in serene natural aesthetic settings interspersed with spots of rocky terrain and the undulating lake waters in the frontage abutting the main building. A picturesque campus in Telecom Nagar, Gachibowli - Hyderabad; provides a unique blend of comprehensive academic courses which is serving as a role model institute for many in terms of teaching and training in Tourism and Hospitality. NITHM is a sector-specific institute, modeled on the lines of IIT’s and IIM’s established for the Tourism and Hospitality industry to provide Education, Training, Research, and Consultancy in India and abroad.
