Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Director of NITHM, delivered the inaugural address at the Creative Economy Conclave held on Monday, 15th June, at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad. The conclave brought together policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals to discuss the growing significance of the creative economy in India's development landscape.

The conclave served as a first-of-its-kind platform in India, highlighting the concept of the Orange Economy—an economic sector driven by creativity, intellectual property, culture, media, entertainment, innovation, and technology. The event was jointly organized by Telangana Tourism, HITEX Exhibition Centre, and Telangana Chamber of Events Industry (TCEI).

In his address, Prof. V. Venkata Ramana emphasized the transformative role of creativity, innovation, and skill development in driving sustainable economic growth. He highlighted the importance of educational institutions such as NITHM in nurturing future-ready professionals equipped to contribute to the expanding creative economy. He also underscored the growing convergence of tourism, hospitality, events, media, and technology sectors in creating new employment opportunities and fostering entrepreneurship.s.

The inaugural session featured a distinguished lineup of industry leaders and influencers, including T.G. Srikanth, A. Balram Babu, Sabbas Joseph, Annurag Batra, Shaju Ignatius, Harinder Singh, Gitikka Ganju Dhar, Smita V, Kumar Raja, Hirish Reddy, Suraj Singh, and G. Ravi.
