National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM) actively participated in the World Tourism Day Celebrations 2026 at Shilparamam, Hyderabad, under the leadership of Prof. Venkata Ramana, Director, NITHM.NITHM organised and coordinated the panel discussion on “AI and Digital Technology – The Future of Tourism,” highlighting the role of emerging technologies in transforming tourism and hospitality.

NITHM students supported the celebrations as stage management and event volunteers, while Tour Guide students volunteered at the District Stall. The SIHM Bakery Chef and NITHM-trained programme participants and SHG women also participated and showcased their products. while Tourist Police representatives participated in the celebrations.

A major achievement was NITHM receiving the “Tourism Excellence Award 2026 – Best Writings Category”, recognising its contribution to tourism-related writing and knowledge dissemination.

The participation showcased NITHM’s commitment to tourism education, skill development, innovation, technology, community engagement, and tourism promotion in Telangana.
