On March 24–25, 2026, the National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM) conducted an immersive two-day educational tour, "Telangana Heritage Circuits." Under the leadership of Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Director, Dr. Niraj Gohil, Dean and a dedicated coordination team, 73 students from B.Sc., BBA, and MBA programs traveled to Nagarjuna Sagar, Buddhavanam, and Panagal to bridge the gap between classroom theory and industry practice. Key Highlights:

• Buddhist Archaeology: Students explored the Nagarjunakonda Island Museum and the Buddhavanam Heritage Theme Park, analyzing the "Degree Plus" model of thematic and spiritual tourism.
• Engineering & Tourism: The group studied the intersection of large-scale irrigation projects (Nagarjuna Sagar Dam) and their role as secondary tourist attractions.
• Architectural Innovation: A visit to the Chaya Someswara Temple in Panagal allowed students to examine the scientific precision of the Kunduru Chola dynasty’s "everlasting shadow" phenomenon.

This program successfully provided our future tourism professionals with deep insights into heritage management, site logistics, and the evolving infrastructure of spiritual circuits in Telangana.
