NITHM is organizing Event Management Training in collaboration with TCEI
The National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM) is organizing Event Management Training in collaboration with the Telangana Chamber of Events Industry (TCEI). A total of 180 women from all districts of Telangana are participating in this initiative. The program focuses on imparting practical skills in key areas of event management, such as photography, catering management, light and sound operations, tent and venue arrangements, makeup artistry, and related services.
The training program was formally inaugurated in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including
- Prof. Venkata Ramana, Director of NITHM
- Mr. Balaram, President of TCEI
- Mr. B. Ravi, General Secretary of TCEI
- Ms. Michelle J. France, Training Officer
- Dr. N. Yadagiri, Maintenance Officer at NITHM
Other respected faculty members, officials, and professional trainers
Under the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NITHM and TCEI, the collaboration emphasizes:
- Training rural women in various aspects of event planning, with an initial focus on wedding planning and associated services.
- Developing employable skills within the rapidly expanding events and wedding industry is an important component of the tourism and hospitality sector.
- This collaborative effort reinforces NITHM’s commitment to capacity building, women's empowerment, and the advancement of professional competencies within Telangana’s tourism and events industry.
